The Final Stretch
Per numerous requests, it's time to share the BIG deployment countdown news!
We know more than this, of course, but due to OPSEC I cannot share more than this vague countdown. ;o)
With that said, Peapod and I will not be seeing Sean until sometime in August, after he outprocesses his soon-to-be former duty station and flies down south to help us get packed up and ready to move to his new duty station. For various reasons, we decided this was the best choice, for Peapod's sake especially. Once his plane touches down, the phone will ring both ways again, which is an exciting thing, believe me!
Be on the lookout for the homecoming announcement next month! :D

Oh Amy! Sharing your joy and excitement :D I was wondering how it would work if Sean came home for 2 weeks R&R, then went back to outprocess. I was thinking that would leave poor Peapod REALLY confused! Even though it stinks not to see him right away, it's probably for the best.
Praying for a happy homecoming celebration and a smooth transition back to family and civilian life!
YEAH....so glad to hear that the days are finally winding down until you can be reunited with your beloved Sean! Yeah for you AND Peapod! Can't wait to hear your announcement!!

Oh, I'm so glad this year is almost over for your family! My dh returned home 3 weeks ago and we are all sure enjoying having him home, and on leave for a month.
