The Plane Has Landed...
Guess whose feet touched U.S. soil once again this weekend? After three hundred and sixty four days of deployment time? Not that I was counting or anything.... ;o)
If you guessed Sean, you'd be correct. :D Nothing makes a feverish summer cold weekend better quite like that phone call!
He should be flying down South to see us sometime in the next two weeks and then we're headed West again, to our new duty station. Peapod & I are anxiously counting the "wake ups" until we see him again. This might only be single digit days from now!!!!
Now back to my sore throat warm lemonade sipping, welcome home banner painting, and trying to get better before the BIG exciting day arrives.

What delightful news! :)
PRAISE GOD! My joy on your behalf is beyond description, Amy...and I'm certain yours and Sarah's makes mine so very, very pale in comparison. Enjoy him, dear.
Oh Amy how wonderful. Seriously I'm almost in tears for y'all. I remember getting a call from my brother when he first landed and we all cried. I can only imagine how much more intense the experience must be for you all.
I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Have you tried garlic-honey-lemon tea. It really works well for us. Take about 10 cloves of peeled garlic in a quart jar and pour boiling water over them. Allow to steep for about 10-15 minutes. Add honey and lemon to taste. Sounds nasty, but I actually really liked it :).
Still looking forward to your letter. I hope I gave you the right address :/.
So, so happy for you!!!!
Amy I just about shot right out of my seat when I read that! CONGRATULATIONS! I am so ecstatic for all three of you; I can only guess how you lot must feel. Enjoy each other, celebrate, and know that you have friends a terribly long way away who are celebrating with you, too!
. . . and for goodness' sake, get well soon! :P
*gasp* I'm so thrilled for you, my heart is racing and I can't stop smiling. :) May Sean be at peace and find rest in his home when he is once again reunited with his loving family and may your family be abundantly blessed with his return!! I know that coming home and adjusting back to civilian life can be tough so I'll be praying for you all as I think of you. I'm so excited for all of you!!!!
Congratulations! I know those 364 days felt very long...I used to get a chuckle when people would ask how long my dh had been gone and then say "it doesn't seem like it's been that long". ;) Maybe not to them! Anyway, enjoy your reunion and catching up. Hope you feel better quickly!
Congrats to you all! I'm sure that you are looking forward to it so much! ENJOY...and God's blessings to you as you pack, move and reunite! I'll be praying for your health as you make this big change!
Blessings,
Kristy
Oh, Oh, OH!!! I'm SOOO excited for you. Trying to imagine the euphoria.... It's going to be me this winter, and gosh, that feels like an eternity away. I'm soooo incredibly happy for you!!!! You must be going crazy and very jittery with the excitement and anticipation of just a short time before you're together. Congratulations.
Can I just say that I am beaming? I have no words to share my joy with you but then you are probably lost for words to share yours!!
Amy,
I found your blog a little while ago and have so enjoyed "visiting" with you. We too are a military, homeschooling, Christian family and it was very nice to find someone likeminded. My dh is deployed and I know all too well the feelings you have been experiencing. August 4th will be four months for us...and I cannot wait to get that phone call like you did! I am so happy for you and your little one and know what elation you will feel the first time you see him walking toward you. God bless you all!
Jackie
I'm so happy for you!!! :)
Hugs!
Amy, God bless you and your husband for the sacrifices made for our country. Congratulations and may God touch you with his healing power helping you feel well and whole again for this awaited homecoming.
So happy for you and Peapod that your husband has returned to US soil. I can't begin to imagine how excited and thankful you must be, Amy.
Amy, I bet you're just filled with joy and relief. I am thrilled for you and am praying Sean is home soon!
Take care,
C
